FOURTH GRADE GIRLS GLOCKENSPIEL The 4th grade girls have been learning how to play a new instrument this year called the glockenspiel. They have been building their musical skills by expanding on what they have learned last year on their recorders. Morah Rochelle Sitt led the girls in a mini glockenspiel concert for the Elementary and Early Childhood students. The girls continue to practice in preparation for a grand concert which will take place at the end of the year.

WIZARD OF OZ The 4th-8th grade girls put on an amazing production of the Wizard of Oz. Parents watched attentively as the "lion","scarecrow", "tin man" and Dorothy sang and danced down the yellow brick road. A special thanks to director Gail Cohen and all of the volunteers who helped make the production such a huge success!

1st GRADERS RAISE MONEY FOR AISHEL SHABBAT The first graders have been working on a Hesed project: READ 2 FEED to raise money for an organization called AISHEL SHABBAT. Aishel Shabbat is an organization that supports families who are struggling and in desperate need to put food on their tables. The children are raising money by selling toys and snacks at their Read 2 Feed sale. Tizku L'Misvot!

FATHER CHILD BREAKFAST The Early Childhood hosted a special father's day celebration. Dads joined their children and worked together on creative craft projects followed by a group breakfast. A sing-a-long led by Mr. Richard Chalme, provided for a unique experience. Thank you to all of the Early Childhood staff for putting together such a successful event!

COMPUTER GAMES Barkai students in grades 6-8 clicked their way through the computer universe. They have mastered the art of using PowerPoint by creating their own computer games. Students created a variety of games, ranging from multiple choice questions to navigating through mazes. To view and play these games yourself, log on to www.cookiesetton.com, click on "my classes," and then the Barkai logo. Have fun!
